New Red Hot Ent Video

Red Hot consists of Gracious K, Jaxor, Terra, Xray, Klayze, Flaymz, J Formula and Offkee.

They joined forces in late 2007, releasing the underground smash hit Baby Girl, which went on to reach the Channel U Top 10.

Since then they have dropped several other massive releases, including the internet hit Junior Spesh (an tribute to their local chicken and chip shop), which was later nominated for the Eurovison Song Contest 2009 and was even shown on E4's hit TV show Rude Tube. Gracious K then released the infamous funky club track 'Migraine Skank', which torn down clubs all over the UK.

Red Hot are now back working as a group, and return with a huge tongue in cheek anthem titled 'Gimme My Grant', featuring another UK heavy hitter Tribal Magz!

Grime Glide Coming Soon!

We are proud present to you 19 year old South London based rapper Startzy, who is fast creating a name for himself on the UK underground music scene and securing the support of industry artists such as Eurogang member Bigz who said that after hearing Startzy’s ‘Woo Riddim Freestyle’ he was considering making a grime track of his own.

Startzy is poised and ready to unleash his brand new mixtape ‘Grime Glide’. A few tracks from the mixtape have already been leaked via Startzy’s YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/startzyb) and the feedback has been phenomenal, in fact comments on blogs suggest that a lot of Grime fans consider his ‘woo riddim’ cover as one of the best. He will be once again linking up with the most popular youth music channel SB.TV (www.sbtv.co.uk) to work on a video for one of the tracks on the ‘Grime Glide’ mixtape very soon (they previously came together for Startzy’s ‘Normal Wid It’ Track.)

‘The Big S.T.A’ born Shunom Yusuf has had his fair share of experience with the negative side of things that come with living in a high crime environment, in his song titled ‘Life I Was Served’ he states ‘in this hood game of snakes and ladders there’s more snakes than ladders, so very few of us will ever get to escape the madness’. Yet still the aspiring artist thanks his parents for providing him with the proverbial ladder required. Compared to some of his neighbourhood friends he went to a ‘posh’ secondary school and here his eyes were opened to alternative ways of doing things. However this transformation wasn’t instant and to ensure that her son stayed out of as much trouble as possible his mum bought him a microphone and some studio equipment. From this Startzy began to put out tracks for free and recite his lyrics in playgrounds, youth clubs, estates and shopping centres all over London which gained him a strong south London following. Whilst still in secondary school, he sold over 1000 mixtapes completely independently off his own back. The money generated from these sales was then used to shoot his first major music video ‘Up In The Club’. The track instantly became an underground hit and made it onto SKY TV channel ‘AKA’.

Around the same time that this underground hit was creating a buzz Startzy’s mixtape ‘Startz Not Kiddin’ sold out in Uptown Records and got him a digital distribution deal. As a result of this deal and the buzz combined he had a top ten on the hmv.com hip hop single charts.

New Jadee Video

JaDee was born Jason David Boardman in Gloucester, UK to Debbie Gartman and Steve Boardman. He grew up in different areas of the city, most of his childhood spent in a crime ridden neighbourhood known as Tredworth. After completing High School
in 2005, JaDee attended Gloscat College on a Music Tech Diploma Course to learn the 'ins and outs' of the Music Industry,
and to learn how to produce tracks for all the songs he had written.

He claims that college held some of the biggest
experiences of his life, such as live performing, meeting other artists, and unfortunately even the loss of a friend who
died in the first year.

At the age of 17, he finished college and fully embraced his career as a Rapper! In late 2009 he released his debut effort entitled 'A-Star' which had small success around the southwest, receiving Radio play, Club play and even an online review from the Digital Download Store. On October 1st, he released a new album entitled 'Street Stardom' which he will donate 1 pound per CD sale to Help For Heroes.

Here we have the first single from the album titled 'On Top Now'.

New Samuel Sky Mixtape

Some people fall into rap as a series of cataclysmic related events. This is not one of those cases.
Hailing from the libraries of South London, Samuel Sky was born with music reticulated into his whole biology, and ever since he has discovered the art of rhyme through poetry at the age of 12, his life has been a journey to live harmoniously with rhythm and rhyme.

As a self professed man of standard and habitué of the female mind, his task in music is difficult yet somewhat simple - a plan to unite people in all their different colours and creeds into a beautifully blended collage of love and peace through music which truly touches the soul and inspires wonder.

Here we have Samuel Sky's brand new mixtape titled 'Office Talk'

New Abiade Mixtape!

Born Richard Abiade in South East London, ABIADE represents a new wave for the Hip Hop Scene, earning his stripes from the capital city of England. Having had his inspirations come from across the atlantic, ABIADE is a rapper/producer whose risk taking approach to music is what distinguishes him from his peers. “I cant say no to a genre, if it feels right, tune is banging and I can write a song or verse to it, then its a wrap , press record.”

He draws upon his many experiences coming from a working class family in South East London, with a knack for adding humour and a hint of social commentary to make the stories as vivid as possible to the listener. “Music doesnt need to alienate the listener, even the toughest story or experience has a lesson to be learnt from, I like to focus on that”.

Having been making music for 10 years and slowly establishing himself as somewhat of a triple threat musically, whilst honing his singing skills along the way, ABIADE's first release (The Warm Up mixtape), in late 2009 was a demonstration of his lyrical ability, versatility as a producer and a display of his fearless approach to tackling an array of different styles. With zero lead up or promo, this was downloaded just under 1000 times.

“The Warm Up is my proper introduction to everyone, the listeners, the scene, the major labels; they havent searched all the nooks and crannies yet, there's a lot of talent left, this CD shows I can do it all from the production to the hooks, from the introspective to the hits, I provide social commentary on a lot of stuff people want to talk about, with sick beats behind it.”

2010 has seen ABIADE build on the success of The Warm Up, with a residency hosting and performing at the famous Camden Proud as well as a very successful performance at YoYo Notting Hill Arts Club, opening for International superstars Mike Posner and Bruno Mars. His journeys have also taken him across England with collective NLT (No Long Ting, and seen him headline at the O2 Academy Oxford alongside Mr Shaodow, as well as performing at Festivals such as Truck In Oxford.

Mike Tyza & Lander Khadel - Supermodel [Video]

Having previously being crowned champions of Ras Kwame's Homegrown Sessions on BBC Radio 1 and 1xtra, Mike Tyza and Lander Khadel are back with their official debut single 'Supermodel'. Driven by some groovy electro-esque production and a fantastic hook line, 'Supermodel' is inspired by 80s and 90s catwalk music, paying homage to beautiful women and good times. The official video for the single, (shot on a Red One camera by Jacuzzi Films and sponsored by Ichiban Clothing), features Mike, Lander and a host of stunning ladies on a swanky yet minimilistic set.

As well as being the perfect addition to any club DJs set list, 'Supermodel' sits perfectly in the commercial arena, and is ready to make huge waves across the UK and beyond!

Introducing.. Veronika Vesper

The Vesper star has come down to Earth to spread her radiant light and to show to us, the creatures living here, that there is a perfect star in the heart of each of us. Where does she come from? Who knows? Maybe the scientists have the precise GPS position of her origin, but she doesn't know and she cares not.
All that really matters is what she brings with her - clouds of atmosphere, ambient beams, floating, alternative, electric fluid, electronic, electromagnetic music with symphonic overtones and rhythmic textures, along with a haunting voice that caresses all senses, creating an eclectic mix of intergalactic stardust.

Space pop is born.

With an eye to devise a mind blowing live performance, Vesper's power lies in creating a visual atmospheric space, inspired by music and fashion in unison. Along her journey here she has been captivated, fascinated by the vibration, sounds and image of Bjork, Depeche Mode, Radiohead, Portishead, Massive Attack, David Bowie, FSOL, Orbital and PJ Harvey to name a few, and the visual image of designers including Alexander McQueen, Vera Wang, Versace, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Dsquared2. Even one of the most high profile designers from the Czech Republic, Iska Fisarkova, has become involved in her styling on stage, to maximize the scope of audio-visual-fashion potential.
Veronika has recently qualified to the London regional finals of Open Mic UK, an exciting national talent competition which searches for the UK’s best singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres who perform either covers or original material. Chris Grayston, head of A&R at Future Music, comments “We are searching for an act that not only has the live ability to impress an audience, industry judges and A&R associates, but an act that has the potential to become a professional recording artist. The standard was high last year and this year looks set to be even better.”

Black Biscuit - We're Fly

Introducing up and coming artists / songwriters Dwayne (Littlen) and Kevern (Raks), better known as their stage name Black Biscuit.

The debut single from the duo, 'Who's Skanking The Hardest', recieved support from the likes BBC 1xtra, Choice FM and Kiss FM, and clocked over 90,000 views on Youtube. This soon led to a full UK club tour, and cemented Black Biscuit's place as one of the most exciting new acts to come of underground in recent years.

And now the boys are officially back with a brand new video for their forthcoming single 'We're Fly', which is sponsored by up and coming clothing labels Trikki Clothing & Fly Force.

The video has charted at number one on Flava TV for two weeks running, and has also been added to the MTV Base and Channel AKA playlists!

If you haven't heard of the BB boys yet, 'We're Fly' is the perfect introduction, and perfectly displays the energy and vibrancy Black Biscuit are bringing to the UK music scene in 2010..

New Chance Fischer Single

He's recently released his debut project ‘HERE’, a blend of infectious horns, gut wrenching strings, and ethereal synths that unite the opposing worlds of triumph and tragedy through the eyes of a 20-year-old Ivy League student.

'HERE' is currently available as a free download in two different formats - a mixed version from DJ RNS, and a completely un-mixed version for those who'd rather hear the unblended tracks.

Here we have the first single from the project titled 'A Little Fun', best described as Chance's laid back, richly produced symphony dedicated to one night stands and just a little fun...

ShaoDow - R U Stoopid Viral Video

Mr ShaoDow really is a rapper with a difference, proving constantly that he's undaunted by crossing over into genres as diverse as Rock Metal, Dubstep, Grime, Jazz and Hip Hop.

At the age of 18 he travelled alone to China to learn Shaolin Kung Fu, an art that has influenced his music heavily ever since. He picked up his passion for song writing during his travels, after becoming fed up with the same uninspiring acts being regurgated time and time again by the industry. It was at this point that ShaoDow decided it was about time he stood up and attempted to instigate a change.

Here we have a fantastic new viral music video from ShaoDow, for his anthem 'R U Stoopid!?!'

Here we have a double video featuring his latest tracks 'Danger' and 'Jigsaw'. It only takes one listen to know that this kid is a star in the making, and that all that time spent honing his craft is set to make him potentially one of the best MCs this country has produced.

Daboi aka Whit G - Sing 2 Her

Daboi aka Whit G is by no means a one dimentional rapper. Coming straight out of the Southside of Chicago, his life experiences alone have meant he has the ability to reach out to people in a lot of different situations, and makes Daboi one of the most accessible rappers to drop in recent times.

After finding himself with no income, no car and no home in 2008 (following a lengthy courtcase and the work of very good lawyer), Daboi decided to focus all of his energies on his life-long passion - music, and started work on his forthcoming debut mixtape 'Multi-Dimentional'.

Here we have the 1st single from the project, titled 'Sing 2 Her', which is a witty ballad full of emotion and effortless swagger.

RIP GURU

Guru's longtime collaborator and partner Solar mourns his loss and explained that Guru had written a letter to his fans that was to be released upon his death.

"The world has lost one of the best MCs and hip-hop icons of all-time — my loyal best friend, partner, and brother, Guru," Solar said. "Guru has been battling cancer for well over a year and has lost his battle! This is a matter that Guru wanted private until he could beat it, but tragically, this did not happen. The cancer took him. Now the world has lost a great man and a true genius."

Born on July 17, 1966, near Boston, Guru rose to fame in the late 1980s as part of the duo Gang Starr with partner DJ Premier. The pair helped define the New York underground rap sound in the 1990s. Their unique sound combined Premier's production palette, which leaned heavily on sampled jazz records and scratched vocals on the choruses, with Guru's uncompromising rhymes. Although the pair would work separately as often as they did together - Guru's Jazzmatazzseries of albums and Premier's work with Nas, Jay-Z, and underground act Group Home - Gang Starr continued to release critically acclaimed material throughout the late '90s and early 2000s.

Their 1998 album Moment of Truth was among their most critically lauded collections and Gang Starr's biggest-selling project to date. Gang Starr's last group project, The Ownerz, was released in 2003.

Guru found solo fame in 1993 when he released the first volume of his Jazzmatazz series, an all-star project that featured a number of collaborations with jazz icons such as Branford Marsalis, Donald Byrd, Roy Ayers and Ronny Jordan, as well as vocals from French producer Solaar and N'Dea Davenport of the Brand New Heavies. The album's mixture of jazz and rap was considered pioneering at the time, and the record spawned the hit "Trust Me." Guru would go on to make four volumes in the series.

According to Solar, Guru wrote his farewell letter while in the hospital.

"I, Guru, am writing this letter to my fans, friends and loved ones around the world," it begins. "I have had a long battle with cancer and have succumbed to the disease. I have suffered with this illness for over a year. I have exhausted all medical options."

"I have a non-profit organization called Each One Counts dedicated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvantaged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cure for this terrible disease that took my life. I write this with tears in my eyes, not of sorrow but of joy for what a wonderful life I have enjoyed and how many great people I have had the pleasure of meeting."

"My loyal best friend, partner and brother, Solar, has been at my side through it all and has been made my health proxy by myself on all matters relating to myself. He has been with me by my side on my many hospital stays, operations, doctors visits and stayed with me at my home and cared for me when I could not care for myself. Solar and his family is my family and I love them dearly and I expect my family, friends, and fans to respect that, regardless to anybody's feelings on the matter. It is my wish that counts. This being said I am survived by the love of my life, my son KC, who I trust will be looked after by Solar and his family as their own. Any awards or tributes should be accepted, organized approved by Solar on behalf [of] myself and my son until he is of age to accept on his own."

Guru very pointedly distanced himself from Premier in the letter, saying he didn't want his former musical collaborator to be able to participate in any tributes or events surrounding his death.

"I do not wish my ex-DJ [DJ Premier] to have anything to do with my name likeness, events, tributes etc. connected in anyway to my situation including any use of my name or circumstance for any reason and I have instructed my lawyers to enforce this," wrote Guru. "I had nothing to do with him in life for over 7 years and want nothing to do with him in death. Solar has my life story and is well informed on my family situation, as well as the real reason for separating from my ex-DJ."

"As the sole founder of Gang Starr, I am very proud of what Gang Starr has meant to the music world and fans. I equally am proud of my Jazzmatazz series and as the father of Hip-Hop/Jazz. I am most proud of my leadership and pioneering efforts on Jazzmatazz 4 for reinvigorating the Hip-Hop/Jazz genre in a time when music quality has reached an all time low. Solar and I have toured in places that I have never been before with Gang Starr or Jazzmatazz and we gained a reputation for being the best on the planet at Hip-Hop/Jazz, as well as the biggest and most influential Hip-Hop/Jazz record with Jazzmatazz 4 of the decade to now."

"The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time. And we as a team were not afraid to push the envelope. To me this is what true artists do! As men of honor we stood tall in the face of small-mindedness, greed, and ignorance. As we fought for music and integrity at the cost of not earning millions and for this I will always be happy and proud, and would like to thank the million fans who have seen us perform over the years from all over the world. The work I have done with Solar represents a legacy far beyond its time and is my most creative and experimental to date. I hope that our music will receive the attention it deserves as it is some of the best work I have done and represents some of the best years of my life."
